We started Mermaid Beach Co. in 2016 to celebrate my love of the ocean and inspire others to follow their passion and do their part to protect our beautiful natural world.
With a background in Marine Biology, I have been lucky enough to visit and live in some of Australia's most incredible coastal destinations. For me the ocean and its treasures are a constant reminder of how our natural environment can inspire us all to live our best lives.
In 2022, we decided to start a new journey as Ocea Collective, to align more with our focus on being a sustainable and ethical brand.
We ship our ocean-inspired handmade sterling silver jewellery all over the world and can also be found in cafes, gift shops and markets along the Western Australian coast.
Ocea Collective is located in Western Australia. Our headquarters are in Bunbury, and spend the high season in Exmouth on Australia's Coral Coast - home to Humpback Whales, Whale Sharks, sea turtles and the beautiful Ningaloo Reef.
In our free time you'll find us swimming with the local marine life, out on a remote camping adventure, or maybe hanging out with an emu family on our way to the post office!
My love of conservation began with long beach walks with my Granny as a child, learning about the marine environment of South Australia.
Since then I've volunteered with Reef Watch, the Ningaloo Turtle Program, coastal bird surveys and countless beach cleanups - to name a few!
At Ocea, we believe that loving the ocean goes hand in hand with learning about and protecting our natural environment in whatever way we can.
Whether it's through education, reducing our own plastic consumption, donating our time and efforts to conservation efforts or partnering with organisations doing great things for the environment, conservation is one of our most important values.
